Michelle Chisholm- Director

I am excited to be a part of LHM and see womens lives dramatically change in the midst of what the enemy meant to destroy - and to see God redeem it and makes it beautiful!

I know that my own life was changed for the better when my daughter unexpectadly entered my life when I was only 20yrs old. I was unprepared, scared and felt so alone. I was thankful to have a group of women come alongside me throughout my pregnancy encouraging me and give me hope for the future. They befriended me during one of the darkest times in my life which gives me the desire to encourage other young women experiencing the same thing.

I was a single mom until my daughter was 19yrs old so I know the challenges and issues that come with single parenting. I've been there, done it and God has been FAITHFUL!

My daughter is now a beautiful young woman that loves the Lord. I am so thankful that He gave me the most beautiful gift!

Crystal Voorheis- Program Coordinator

My journey to help women started as a young child amidst the struggles and conflict of a dysfunctional family and broken relationships. At such a young age I desired to bring my family closer together and mend the hurt and distance that each of us felt. As I have worked through my own struggles of self-value and identity I became eager to pass on the knowledge and freedom I experienced through the journey God had put me on.

Along with getting my MA in Psychology Counseling I have worked with children, teens & women in small groups, I worked for a maternity home for single pregnant & parenting moms for 6 1/2 years, and I continue to educate myself & seek healing as God works in and through me to pass this knowledge to the women I work with.

I am so humbled to be working for Life House Ministries and help with the foundation of such a great organization! The passion, intention, and desires of the founders of this ministry, motivates me to reach further, higher, deeper and wider than ever before! I am so thankful to a God who continually uses this broken vessel to bring hope, restoration, and healing to women and families amidst the struggles and conflicts they face in their own lives.

God is so good.

Life House Ministries is a blessing to serve.

My childhood was mostly unpleasant; I was an 'accident' born to a religionless family plagued by mental illness, neglect, abuse, poverty and brokenness. In 3rd grade, numerous cavities and a set of children's bible stories at the dentist introduced me to God. This fine literature confirmed what I already knew: the way is truth, light, and love, and it had a name. Jesus. A man who lived and died so that *I* may have life. I have value. He would teach me right from wrong. God created a natural order for everything; He has a plan. I listened with an open heart and mind to anyone who wanted to share their faith with me. I grew and endured the world. I studied religions, I prayed, I made enormous mistakes. But mostly…I listened to Him. I made my commitment to God in 1995; I am His, and He is mine. He will never abandon me.

This unconventional path has been such a gift. I am to be EXACTLY what God calls me to be. To let God shine through me; illuminating the darkness, loving the hurting, valuing His creations. God is not idle, and He has commanded: Love God, love your neighbor. I have work to do.
